การสื่อความหมายว่า "ขาด........." ด้วยคำว่า "lack"

LACK เป็นคำกริยา แปลว่า ขาด (ขาดสิ่งใดหรืออะไร)  ไม่มีการใช้ที่ยุ่งยากอะไร  และถ้าใช้เป็นคำนาม จะได้ความหมายว่า  ความขาดแคลน

หมายเหตุ :  shortage ก็มีความหมายว่า ความขาดแคลน เหมือน lack (noun)

ตัวอย่าง
-ตอนนี้เราขาดเงินสดที่ะจ่ายสำหรับค่าทัวร์   ขอจ่ายเป็นบัตรเครดิตได้ไหม?
Now we lack cash to pay for the tour.   May we pay by credit card?
-บริษัทนั้นขาดมัคคุเทศก์(หลายคน)
That  company lacks tour guides.
-มัคคุเทศก์คนนั้นคุยเก่ง แต่ขาดความเข้าใจในเรื่องศาสนาพุทธ จึงให้ข้อมูลผิดๆแก่นักท่องเที่ยว
That tour guide is talkative but he(she) lacks understanding (comprehension) in Buddhism.  Then he/she gave wrong information to tourists.

 That tour guide has a good accent.  He(She) is graduated from overseas.  But he(she) lacks skill in grammatically used English as a native speaker has.  
-การขาดความรู้เกี่ยวกับการบำรุงรักษาโบราณสถาน  เป็นเหตุให้เจ้าอาวสวัดต่างๆทำลายโบราณสถานมากมายที่ได้ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นสมบัติของชาติไว้ (ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นสมบัติของชาติเอาไว้ก่อนแล้ว)
